Later that year, the entry of foreign investors in the PT. Pantja Motor Isuzu Motors Ltd and the Itochu Corporation. In the same year I Pantura isuzu Games organizing a fruitful one liter diesel can be a distance of 31 km.

In 1997, PT. Isuzu Panther Motor Pantja export to the country Philippines and Taiwan, and in 2000 launched Isuzu New Panther 160, 2500 cc Direct Injection Dieseil. Not long lapse in 2001, Isuzu New Panther 160 Touring issued by PT. Pantja Motor.

The Government of Indonesia would temporarily secure a majority shareholding of Bank CIMB Niaga in the wake of the Financial Crisis in the late 1990s. In November 2002 Commerce Asset-Holding Berhad (CAHB), now known as CIMB Group Holdings Berhad (CIMB Group Holdings), acquired a majority control of Bank Niaga from the Indonesia Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA). It subsequently transferred its shares in the Bank to CIMB Group in August 2007 as part of an internal reorganization to consolidate all its operating subsidiaries under CIMB Group as the universal banking platform.

In an entirely separate transaction, Khazanah the majority shareholder of CIMB Group Holdings acquired majority ownership of LippoBank on 30 September 2005. It would subsequently transfer its shares to CIMB Group on 28 October 2008 as part of the same internal reorganization.

Since 2007, Khazanah as the ultimate shareholder of Bank Niaga (via CIMB Group) and of LippoBank, had envisaged the merger as a means to secure the majority shareholders’ obligations toward Bank Indonesia’s Single Presence Policy. The union is the first merger to specifically fulfill these conditions. In May 2008, Bank Niaga changed its name to become Bank CIMB Niaga. Bank CIMB Niaga’s and LippoBank’s Merger Plan Agreement was signed in June 2008. This was subsequently followed by Merger Plan Approval from Bank Indonesia and the issuance of a Merger Notification’s Acceptance Letter from the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in October 2008. LippoBank officially merged into Bank CIMB Niaga on November 1, 2008 (Legal day 1 or LD1) and launched the Bank’s new logo in recognition.

The merger of LippoBank into Bank CIMB Niaga represents the single greatest leap forward to occur in Southeast Asia’s banking sector in recent times. Bank CIMB Niaga now offers its customer the most comprehensive portfolio of universal banking services available in Indonesia, combining its strengths in retail, SME and corporate banking as well as payment services. Chandra Asri Petrochemical and SMI are the leading suppliers of petrochemical product to various Indonesian manufacturing industries.

Chandra Asri Petrochemical (CAP) facility at Ciwandan, Cilegon in Banten Province is Indonesia's premier petrochemical plant incorporating world class, state-of-the-art technology and supporting facilities. At the heart of CAP lies the Lummus Naphtha Cracker producing high quality Ethylene, Propylene, Crude C4 and Pyrolysis Gasoline (Py-gas) for the Indonesian as well as regional export markets.

CAP's integrated Polyethylene and Polypropylene production facilities incorporate two world class technologies. Four Unisol reactors are designed by Union Carbide. One capable in producing both linear low and high density PE resins while the other 3 are capable to produce a variety of PP resins.

The fifth reactor is using Showa Denko KK of Japan's revolutionary bimodal high density polyethylene technology. These two world class technologies combine to produce a range of resin grades which meet the great majority of demand for polyethylene in Indonesia.

To ensure continuous production, CAP has on-site power generation capacity well in excess of normal production requirement with connection to PLN as a back-up source of power. The site also incorporate a desalination plant and water treatment facilities which produce feed water as well as highly purified water for use in cooling system circulation, tank farm and jetty.

Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI)'s plant located at Puloampel, Serang in Banten Province is about 40KM from CAP's plant site. The plant produces Styrene Monomer with nameplate capacity of 340,000 MT per year. There are two units of ethyl benzene plants designed under license from well known Mobil/Badger and Lummus Technologies. The two ethyl benzene units are integrated with two units of styrene monomer plants engineered using Lummus/UOP Technology.

SMI is the only styrene monomer producer in Indonesia serving both domestic downstream industries and regional export markets.
